Privacy Policy

The short version

• You can play every game without an account. Creating games needs Google sign-in.
• We collect the minimum needed to run the product — listed in full below.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not run third-party ads today.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your card details.
• Deletion is one email away: [email protected].

What we collect

Account (only if you sign in)

Sign-in is via Google. We receive your email address and your Google profile picture, and we store the handle and display name you choose. Your profile shows your Google picture (or a colored initial if none). Photos you upload while creating a game are cartoonized in your browser before upload — the raw photo never leaves your device.

Gameplay (everyone, including guests)

First-party gameplay analytics: a random device identifier, which games are played, and play events. This powers play counts, the feed, and lets a guest's history merge into their account if they later sign up. Scores you submit appear on leaderboards under your chosen display name.

Challenges

When you share a challenge, the link carries your score, your display name, and — if you opt in — a gameplay position-trace (a "ghost") so friends can race your run. Ghosts contain only in-game positions, never anything from your device.

Payments

Credit purchases are processed by Razorpay in INR. We store the payment status and the credits granted. Card, UPI, and bank details go to Razorpay directly — Khelzy never stores your payment instrument data.

Creations

The prompts you type and the game definitions the AI produces are stored so your drafts and published games keep working and remain editable.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your personal data. To anyone.
• We do not run third-party advertising or ad-tracking today.
• We do not upload raw photos from game creation — they are cartoonized on your device first.
• We do not store card or bank details — that is Razorpay's job.

AI processing disclosure

When you create a game, your input is processed by AI providers:

• Game logic: your prompt is sent to Anthropic (Claude) to design the game.
• Artwork: art prompts are sent to Google (Gemini) to generate game visuals.

These providers process your prompt to produce the game and art. Tip: don't put personal information (phone numbers, addresses) in game prompts — it isn't needed to make a great game.

What lives on your device (localStorage)

Khelzy keeps some things only in your browser's local storage rather than on our servers: your chosen language, your in-game coin wallet and level progress, your device identifier, and (when signed in) your login token. Clearing your browser data removes these.

Retention and deletion

We keep data for as long as it's needed to run the service (your account, your games, leaderboards). To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email [email protected] from your account email. We will action requests within a reasonable time and confirm when done. Published games may be unpublished or de-attributed as part of deletion.

Children

Khelzy is for users aged 13 and above. Users under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent for purchases. If you believe a child under 13 is using Khelzy, contact us and we will act on it.

Where and under what law

Khelzy is operated from India and this policy is governed by Indian law. Data may be processed by the providers named above (Google, Anthropic, Razorpay) as part of delivering the service.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the "last updated" date at the top; for material changes we will provide an in-product notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
